Safety on site with cadence
After an incident yesterday outside our palm beach work site, an elderly man was lucky to have Nick Sampson, a trained lifesaver, and the Cadence & Co team close by. They quickly sprung into action and administered vital first aid until paramedics arrived on scene. The man is now in a stable condition, thanks to Nick’s quick thinking showing the importance of having first aid training out in the community.
Cadence & Co's Enchanted Night Garden
Cadence & Co is a proud supporter of the Australian Art Quartet who are still enjoying a 3 year residency of The Yellow House. We were thrilled to attend another of their brilliant performances where we, alongside many of our guests were transported to an enchanting night garden accompanied by the brilliant floral stylings of Saskia Havekes.
“Many thanks for a fun, entertaining and soulful evening on Thursday night, a wonderful opportunity to relax and experience the deeply enriching music of the Australian Art Quartet, the history and intimacy of the theatre space and the beautiful floral displays.”
Callum Mills 2016 AFL Rising Star
Callum Mills has become the third Swan to win the AFL Rising Star award.
A member of Sydney’s Academy, Mills, who was drafted at pick No. 3 last year after Sydney matched Melbourne’s bid for him, could become just the second player to win a premiership in the same year as winning a Rising Star. The only other player to do it is current Geelong captain Joel Selwood (2007).
“On behalf of all the kids in New South Wales thanks to AFL New South Wales for the work they are putting in to develop the game there,” he said.
Mills played rugby union from the age of seven through to 13, with the Swans Academy being the major influence in his decision to switch to Australian Football. His grandfather, Ray Mills, played WAFL for Perth in the 1960s.
Swans coach John Longmire said Mills had been “sensational” this season. “He’s strong at the ball, he’s really courageous and he’s a smart decision-maker with a mature approach to footy,” he said. “To come in as a first-year player and move into the half-back role – a position he had never played in his entire career – it’s really just a fantastic achievement. “He has been outstanding addition for us this year and we’re really looking forward to watching Callum grow and develop, because we know he’s got a big future ahead.”
