Introduction
With a dramatic location on the crest of a hill overlooking Pittwater, this house is a series of simple boxes perched atop each other to create sophisticated internal spaces. The arrangement of these boxes allows the house to maximise the beautiful views across Pittwater, while still providing privacy to its open spaces.
The combination of timber lining boards, sandstone walling and cedar screens very much makes this a Sydney Beach house.
The landscaping has been kept very naturalistic, with the large eucalypt at the front of the house taking pride of place and influencing the colour palette of the house, both inside and out.
