After completing a degree in Architecture, Michael worked for a large-scale architectural practice, focussing on medium density residential architecture. During this time, he realised that his real interest stemmed from a more personal connection with space.
With that in mind he moved to a boutique Architectural and Interior Design office, specialising in luxury residential design. He developed a greater understanding of the importance of internal spatial design working in conjunction with the architecture.
After nine years in that position, Michael began his own Design Studio, specialising in residential design. As a sole practitioner, he was able to hone his passion for spatial design and enjoy closer relationships with clients.
Michael has since brought these traits to his role at Cadence & Co, where he sees the design process as one that involves listening to and interpreting personal briefs. He then translates that into spaces that work simply and efficiently, but which also express the character of our clients and their homes.
