On Sydney’s leafy North Shore, Grove House by Cadence & Co is a study in thoughtful transformation. Originally a modest 1920s Californian bungalow, the home has been reimagined for modern family life—not through reinvention, but by deepening its connection to place, heritage, and the rituals of home.
Designed and built by Cadence & Co, the project takes a quietly confident approach to contemporary living. Rather than erase its past, Grove House is anchored in it—a design narrative that prioritises continuity over contrast. From the street, the bungalow’s original character is lovingly preserved. Step inside, and the story unfolds: soft arches lead into a dramatic new pavilion, where a soaring cathedral ceiling frames a generous living and dining space infused with natural light.
