Introduction
While the family loved the original house, it no longer provided enough space for family living and entertaining, and there was poor connection to the rear garden and pool. The design approach was to create a new Family Pavilion, which provided open space for everyone to enjoy.
In contrast to the original house, this pavilion was one large open space, with a timber lined cathedral ceiling. It contained a new kitchen and dining area looking out to the rear garden, and a living space opening out to a new garden terrace. The new pavilion is filled with natural light and uses the garden as a lush backdrop to the space.
