A hot summer’s night on the waters around Sydney harbour saw team Cadence & Co celebrate their tenth birthday aboard the good ship Seadeck. A decade at the forefront of bespoke residential design and construction is definitely worth celebrating and our colleagues turned it on in style.

Cadence & Co is now one of the leading residential architecture and interior design studios in the country. Our team of builders, makers and craftsmen work alongside the designers to realise our client’s vision and all are led by founding Directors Mark Campbell and Darren Mills …

Cadence & Co recently sponsored the UNSW IA Graduate show called (re)Kindle. As part of the collaboration the students posed the question: What does (re)Kindle mean to you?

Charlotte Park was the focus of a recent short film by our supplier No 1 Roofing. The timeless materiality of Charlotte Park is celebrated; a family home designed to last for generations.

Commenting on the project our Design Principal, Michael Kilkeary said: “We’ve layered natural materials to give the architecture and interiors a richness of texture and have looked to the ranches of Napa Valley and new Zealand, as well as elements of European farmhouses to create an identity for the home that is not of one place or time.

Our design team was given a comprehensive lesson in the world of horse care this week at Charlotte Park, one of our notable acreage projects.

Director Darren Mills touched on the history and psychology of horses while demonstrating the variety and uses of saddlery and tack. Darren called on the expertise of his veteran farrier, Michael, to demonstrate how to shoe a horse and look after their feet using Darren’s horses Rumba and Wednesday as his subjects.

We are proud to be sponsoring the next generation of Interior Architects in the UNSW IA Graduate show for 2023 called (re)Kindle.

“Throughout the house, an emphasis on natural materials in their purest form is evident, from hand-glazed Moroccan terracotta tiles in both the kitchen and ensuite to polished plaster walls that elegantly capture and play with the abundant natural light.”

One of our recently completed family homes in the Northern Beaches features in the Spring edition of the Kanebridge Quarterly magazine.

Named for it’s many layers of terraces and entertaining spaces Terrasse is an impressive family house enhanced by established gardens. Commenting on the scope of the project our principal designer, Michael Kilkeary, said,”the house did not need much in the way of structural work, but it did require greater cohesion in terms of design and circulation.”
