His interest lies in distilling the brief to elevate the day to day liveability of each space. Firstly through a honed composition of spaces that flow and work efficiently, spaces which are then are layered to achieve a sense of quiet luxury.

Michaels’s design work is not defined by a single style, instead, it demonstrates a response to individual sites and stories. He has developed a deep understanding of how internal spatial design relates to architecture. He strives to create a sense of harmony in the relationship between the inside and the outside and, in turn, the outside and its context within the land.
